Thanks Katie.

Good to know that it's possible to migrate fields--I'll look into that the next time I have the need.

One more thing: I have asked for notifications from this community to be sent to my email (trivettj@evergreen.edu), not Kelli Bush's, and yet they continue to come to her. How do I get that changed? I would like to stop pestering her.

Thanks,
Joslyn

Hi Joslyn! You can change the email address by going to getsatisfaction.com/me to log in. (Get Satisfaction is the company that powers Emma Community.) Once you’re logged in, click Email & Notifications in your profile to change any email settings.

Let me know if that doesn’t do the trick, and I’ll keep digging.

OK, I think I found that place and changed my email to primary--thank you for that.
I did not find the "Email & Notifications in my profile" you referred to, but I didn't look too hard either; are you referring to a place in myemma, community.myemma, or getsatisfaction?

Overall, I have to say that myemma has great customer service, responsive, available, and polite (thank you Katie), and the user interface(s) leave some to be desired. I wish for more user friendliness: more responsive design, more complete menus, and some explanation of the relationship between the three entities and where a user should go to find various things. I didn't bother with community.myemma until a few months ago--didn't understand the relationship to myemma--and today is the first time I've heard about getsatisfaction. What is up?

Thanks again,
Joslyn

I’m sorry to hear there’s been confusion! Get Satisfaction is a company that builds an online community forum platform for companies like Emma, so what we’re corresponding in now is called Emma Community. It’s a public place for us to support customers’ account questions with other Emma users pitching in and sharing their years of experience. This is the quickest place to get help, since you’re reaching the Support Team and all users — especially if you work in off-hours or on the weekend, when we’re out of the office; posting here will get your question/problem in front of others using the community during that time.

Going to getsatisfaction.com/me will get you to your profile, where you can change your settings, like your email. It sounds like you got what you needed, but let me know if you still can’t find the Email & Notifications link on that page.

There are additional support links on the righthand side of the main Emma Community page that will take you to our online resources (step-by-step feature guides and videos), the design form (for new custom requests and revisions), our status page (to see if there’s scheduled down time) and more.

I think you have some ideas for user interface changes and more intuitive design, and we’d love to hear them! Don’t hesitate to create a new idea conversation here, and I’ll take it to our product owners for input.
