Hi! It sounds as though your designer is going to create a template and have our Design Team code it for use in Emma -- Is that right? If so, there are a few simple rules of thumb for creating a design for us to code:

+ Size
Our recommended width for header images is no more than 650 pixels, and between 100-200 pixels in height. If you would like your design to work well for mobile devices, narrower is better. Photoshop should give you the ability to make all of the tweaks you need, or Pixlr Express is a good, free, online alternative for resizing your images.

+ File type
Our recommended file format is a layered Photoshop Document (PSD), though we'll accept a wide variety of image file formats, including JPG, PNG, GIF, TIF, EPS, PDF and AI. If you send layered art files, please make sure that you also provide the files for any unusual fonts you use, or that all fonts are outlined. We do *not* accept Word, PowerPoint, InDesign or Publisher files.

+ Color value set
The image should always be in RGB (red, green, blue) color values and not CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). If the image is in CMYK color values, which is meant for print, it won't work in an online environment.

+ Resolution
If the image is at a resolution of 72 dpi, it will make for quick downloading and better image quality.

+ Links
If you'd like our designers to link your header (or specific sections thereof) to a website, make sure you specify which parts of the header should direct to which URLs.

Then, once your designer is ready, the materials will be sent through our design form. I hope this helps!
