I'm not receiving my test mailings

I am creating my first mailing so I am new at this. I've sent 2 tests to myself and neither have come thorough and and it's been almost half hour. I've checked my spam filter . how long do the tests usually take?

Hi there!

In most cases a test email should come through instantaneously, however sometimes there can be a delay.  Generally if it's taken as long as 30 minutes, it's been flagged as spam by your receiving server or being held up in quarantine.

In making a copy of your most recent mailing I was able to send and receive a test as per normal and I can see in your response data that your delivery rate is 99% which is great.

When you send a mailing internally (such as a test to yourself) the mailing actually passes through Emma's server and then comes back to your domain (tradewindservices.org).  Often, this can be perceived as spam by the receiving server as the mailing is pretending to be from you, but it's actually from the Emma servers.

The fast solution for this is to update your SPF record which will authorise Emma to send emails on your behalf, thus legitimizing your mailings.  If you follow the steps here you should find that your test mailing will reach your inbox with much more success.
