Your campaigns look great! Looking at your HTML code I see a couple of tags which are not necessary since you're pasting your code into a template that already contains all of the required body and HTML formatting tags. If you remove those body tags, you should be good to go with the footer info aligning center.

I made a copy of your most recent campaign (saved as EMMA COPY) and removed the body tags. I sent a test and everything looks in line.

Here is also a link from our resources page which includes some tips with using your own HTML in Emma that should help you on your way.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with.

Footer formatting.

On the Emma website when I preview my email, the info at the bottom is centered and small type but when I get the test email it is left-justified and large font. Is there any way to fix this?

Centering footer text below HTML code.

I'm using the freestyle HTML option to insert a holiday card, which is centered. However, the footer text (with the postal address and unsubscribe links) is not centered. How can I make this text centered so it lines up below the centered e-card graphic?

Ah, I removed the body tags and now it's centered. Thanks Tyler for the above advice.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Emma footer is aligning left instead of center -- please help!.

Used a blank template, with header option. Used provided drag/drop options for most text and images, but used a custom HTML footer.

The Emma footer information/graphic is left-aligned beneath the email. Is there a way to get that centered?

I'm experiencing the same problem, except that I'm using the block editor; there are no <body> tags! Can you help explain how to get the footer to align with the rest of the email?

Hi National Children's Alliance!

Adriane here, jumping in for Tyler. Can you please pass along the name of the mailing that's giving you trouble? The footer should align left for you. I'll be happy to jump in and take a look once I can gather those details from you. I'll be on the look-out for your response.

Hi Adrianne,

The footer is aligning left for me, but the body is aligning center. Pretty much all of them have this problem. A good example is the mailing "2016 Call for Abstracts #2."

Hello again!

I took a peek at your mailing and do see the footer is aligned left. This is actually the expected behavior of the footer, and you'll see that all of our gallery templates do this, as well as any recently created custom templates. The footer region is part of the template wrapper and its alignment isn't editable by you. If you'd like you can put in a request with our Design team to get the footer aligned center in the templates of your choosing.  I hope this helps you! If you'd like some assistance with submitting a design request, please let me know. I'll be glad to help with that, or with anything else you might need.

Adriane,

Would there be a charge for editing this single line of code?

If so, perhaps you can then help me to change the alignment of the body content blocks? I'd also put in a request to Emma more broadly to ensure that the body and footer alignment never be allowed to be different. Seems like a fix that might prevent a few of these problems.
