Is it possible to distinguish a "soft bounce" error status email from a "hard bounce" error in my audience download file? I am trying (for the first time, even tho I've sent out many Emma campaigns) to delete the hard bounce emails from my reservation database. Part 2: Does Emma charge me for the known error emails if I keep importing hard bounce emails into my audience file?

Hi! When you export your audience list, you'll only be able to see if an address is in error status or not. There's not currently a way to export a list of addresses based on whether it's a hard bounce or a soft bounce from within the account. However, I may be able to provide a file for you that will contain that information. If you'll let me know your email address I'd be happy to see what I can work out.

As for part two of your question: there's no penalty for having addresses in error status. Once an address is placed into error, Emma will no long attempt to deliver to those addresses again. Even if you were to delete the error addresses from the account, when you import another list that contains those addresses - Emma will remember that and place them back in error.

I hope this helps, and I'll be watching for your reply!

Cheers,
Ben
