Having image files available inside the campaign editing screen would be so helpful. Instead of clicking back to Campaigns and then clicking on Images or Documents to add items or copy the URLs, it would be great to be able to have those files available while still in the campaign editing screen. So much time could be saved with this enhancement.
Thank you for your post! I would like to get some additional information from you about your images and documents.
Are you linking your images and documents in your mailing? I want to make sure I am understanding fully how you are using your images and documents to see why you need to jump out of Campaigns to retrieve them.
We upload our images and documents while in the "manage your mailings" area. However, sometimes we may forget to upload an image/document or forget to copy the URL link into a notepad while we're in that area. If that happens and we don't realize it until we're already editing the campaign, we have to exit the edit window and go back to the "manage your mailings" area to upload or copy the URL. This wastes time going back and forth. Would be nice to have the images and docs available to us in the edit window.
Sometimes we do code our own html ... other times we just use emma's templates. Whichever we use, if we forget to upload something while in the campaign management screen before going in to edit a campaign, we have to exit the edit screen to get back to the management screen to load the item(s).
When you are working on a mailing and using the Drop and Drag editor, you are able to upload images and documents from within. Take a look at this support article discussing how to upload images from an image placeholder in your mailing here. Similarly, you are able to link a reader to one of your documents by either selecting a document already in your library or by uploading a new one, take a look at this support article here.
I hope that this is helpful to you while creating your mailings!
I may not be explaining it properly. When we are in the edit campaign screen, if we forgot to grab the URL link for an image, we have to back out of the editor and go back to the main campaign management screen to click on the Images button and get the URL. Are we not seeing something in the campaign edit screen that would let us grab the image URL from there?
