Import new members to both Salesforce and Emma groups simultaneously?

I have a spreadsheet of new contacts I need to add to Salesforce and subscribe to a range of groups in Emma. What's the best way of doing this? From what I've been told, importing a new list into Emma WON'T sync with Salesforce once the integration is complete. If that's true, how can I import new members without having to add them one by one to Salesforce and then add each new group membership one group, one contact at a time? There's got to be a better solution!

Hey there Mpls Butterfly,

Thanks for reaching out!

I'm going to copy in an answer from this Community post that Katie answered:

"You can definitely bring members of your Emma audience groups over to Salesforce through the integration. If you create a group by importing to Emma that you'd like to sync over to your Salesforce org, you'll just want to again run through the steps on the Emma Setup tab within Salesforce. Re-running that Emma Setup process is super simple -- the integration remembers all of your previous entries and selections from your last run, and just be sure to add the group you newly created within Emma to the list of checked groups you'll see on step three of the Emma Setup process. Click to start the resync on that step three view, and once the sync has again returned to a "completed" status, the members from the new group in Emma should be synced over to your Salesforce org.

I wanted to give a little background on how those members are brought over to your Salesforce org from your Emma audience. If you've added a member to a group in Emma with an email address that already exists as the primary email address on an existing lead or contact record in your Salesforce org, then the record in Emma will be linked with that existing lead/contact record in Salesforce when the sync happens through the integration. If the email address you've added to a group in Emma isn't already reflected as the primary email address on an existing lead/contact record in your Salesforce org, then a new lead record will be generated for those email addresses when you sync the new group."

The reason we don't have it set up to run automatically is because there are some users that don't want ALL of the contacts that they add into Emma to be added into their Salesforce account.

I hope this clears that up for you!  Let us know if we can answer any more questions!
