Perspective from a university account.

This suggestion pertains to helping the double checking of field mapping to help reduce errors that fields are getting mapped incorrectly or accidentally ignored.

Often times we import files that have 20+ columns. While double checking our data mapping, it would be nice to see a total # of mapped fields that will get imported displayed somewhere on the import summary page (before hitting import).

Another suggestion would be to adding some spacing of the fields mapped so they don't all run into each other. perhaps in a table format or where you can clearly see the column and you can scan what was imported or not. Reading over 20 lines of field mapping (when most are ignored) is a little more time consuming.

This screenshot is blurred on purpose but just wanted to show how long a file import could be. Yes the list could be checked before importing - but we are often importing lists daily as we are get names from applicants to the university that we wish to communicate with.

Just a thought =)

Hey Tina. Thank you for this detailed & considerate feedback!

I've shared all of this with our developers for consideration as they work to enhance the import process. I can't stress enough how useful this specific level of insight is, so thank you for taking the time to write this in!
