Internal emails to external email addresses

Using Fire Fox:  On the attached results summary from a March Personal Lines e-newsletter, it indicates that .1% of emails were opened via a Gmail server.

Does that mean that a recipient received it via a gmail address, or could it mean that someone forwarded an internal email to their external email address and opened it at home using a gmail server?

Hi!

The "opens by client" numbers should not be affected by forwarding since that contact isn't an original recipient of the email and in most cases, not an existing contact in your audience.
