Introducing our Eventbrite integration!

I'm excited to announce today a new partnership with Eventbrite that lets your contacts RSVP to your event, right from your email built using Emma.

Our current focus at Emma is to help you unite all of your marketing efforts in order to make your lives easier, and we know that many of you have events that you market as well. Eventbrite is a leader in the event registration space, so we've formed a partnership with them to make the process of promoting and selling tickets a seamless experience in your Emma account. With this integration, you'll be able to display events in your emails and track ticket sales and revenue in our response section.

In the drag & drop editor, you'll find a new Events button at the bottom of the lefthand menu.

Drag it into your mailing, connect your Eventbrite account and choose from your events to customize how the event listing appears in your mailing.

You can also insert multiple events in a list view, if you'd rather.

After you've sent your mailing, you can view results as they come in on our response page. We'll track available tickets, total tickets sold, and total tickets sold because of the email you sent.

If you're looking to put on an event soon, whether it's a small happy hour gathering or a huge conference, we hope you'll give this Eventbrite integration a try! Eventbrite is our first (and favorite) event management tool integration, but if you're using another one, we'd like to know. If there's a specific product you use, do a quick search here in Emma Community to see if someone's asked for it before, or officially ask yourself by posting a new conversation using the New Post button.

I hope this addition makes your event management even easier! We're flipping on the Events block today for Marketing United attendees (P.S. It has been so fun getting to meet you all in person this week!) and all Emma users will have it in the coming weeks.

So sorry about that! We were more cautious in turning this on for agencies, as we wanted to make sure you had time to talk to your customers about this. However, we can turn this on for you ASAP. Do want this on for all of your subs or just for a few right now?

They should be in ready to go now! You may have to clear your cache to see the new block, but probably not. Let me know if you have any trouble!

I just received an email update about this feature and we have an account with both Emma & EventBrite, but I am not seeing the EventBrite in my Drag & Drop editor.  Do you know when this will be effective so that we can start using this feature? How do I turn it on, activate, etc. ?

We are actually turning this on for accounts even as I type this message! I just took a quick peek and your account should be good to go now. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Matt - are you able to create an email list by pulling the people who have not RSVPed/ purchased a ticket?

Hi, Lisa! This is a great question, and you're not the first to ask it. We don't have a way to pull those folks in an easy way just yet, but you can get to this information by doing the following.

  • Click export responses on the response for the mailing you've sent to sell tickets.
  • Import that list into a new group.
  • Create a segment to look for folks that are in the group that was sent the original mailing, but are NOT in the new group you've created. That will give you a list of folks that haven't purchased.

That's admittedly a bit of a crazy workaround, but it should get you there. We're always considering adding new features here, and this is definitely a top request for this integration. In the future, we hope to allow you to set up automation based on whether someone has purchased or not, which should eliminate this problem.

Let us know if you have any further questions or suggestions, I'd love to hear any other feedback you have!

when i add the EventBrite information into my email it expands the email width. How can I make it fit within the width we have specified?

Hey Tactical Electronics, I'm starting a new conversation with your question to make it more searchable for other users.

Please reference the new conversation here: Eventbrite block expands the width of my mailing

Hi Wendy -- I just confirmed that the Eventbrite block is indeed turned on in your account. If you haven't cleared your browsing history lately, that may do the trick here. I'm seeing the block in your account when I open a new mailing, so this sounds like a display issue. That events block lives at the very bottom of the list of drag & drop content block options:

Let's try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, shutting the browser down and opening a new session before logging in again. Let me know if that doesn't do the trick, and I'll dig in further!

Got it! Talked to a customer service rep this morning. Had to clear cache but also update to the very latest version of FireFox and then close it out and reopen to be able to see it. Thanks!
