Some folks find the light gray color of the social sharing icons too light. Is it possible to change the color of those icons? Or change to different icons while still using Emma's social sharing code?

Hi there WWC,

I saw you posted on the other idea post on this as well.  I did want to share a couple of things with you that may help in the meanwhile:

1. One option would be to have our design team build out a custom template for you and customize these icons for you.  If you were wanting to have a template built out, this would be one option you could ask them to customize for you.

2. Alternately, you can actually add in the code for the "Share Tags" under any images you'd like in the editor.  So if you were interested in building out your own "Share this email" section, you could using the following method:

The tag you would use for this is:  [% share:email url_only="true" %]

Using that tag, you can put that the same place you would any URL link in the editor, under text or an image or a button.  There where it says "email", you can change that out to read "facebook", "twitter", or "linkedin" .

With that tag, if you wanted to build your own section at the bottom of the email, you could set up an "images" block with 4 images, bring in the logos that you would like, and add those links under the images.  Then you'd just turn off the Share section in the Emma footer by clicking on it in the editor and unchecking all of the boxes.

Just a suggestion for you, I hope it helps!

Hi Grey,

Thanks so much for your quick response & suggestions.

This morning I have been thinking along the lines of your suggestion using the tag [% share:email url_only="true" %]
I was thinking that the sharing doesn't have to be coded into the template itself, rather I can add it via the drag & drop editor. With your suggestion to use the image block for the logos, I think it will be a great solution.

Thanks again!
Debbie

ps - I still think it would be great for us to be able to change the colors of the default social share icons :)
