Hi all,

We are trying to send out notifications to customers about their maintenance contract expiring. Since each contract expires at different times - we use SFDC's Contract Object to keep tabs of the dates. How do we get Emma to send an email 30 days before the End Date in the SFDC Contract?

Hi there - I'd be happy to provide some information on how you can accomplish this.

If the contract end date is being synced to a field in Emma, it'd be a snap to set up an automated workflow that sends a mailing 30 days before that date.

If you haven't created the field in Emma yet to be synced to that Contract Object, make sure that it is created as a Date Picker field, as that is the only option that will be eligible for the date-based trigger you want to use in automation.

Once the field is created and synced to your SFDC org, you'll want to create the mailing that will be automatically sent. After that, you'll just build the automation workflow by specifying what field it should be looking at and setting the "send 30 days before" parameter. Here is an article on our Resource Center that covers date-based automation triggers: https://support.e2ma.net/Resource_Center/Guide_to_Automation/Trigger_events%3A_date-based

Give me a shout if you have any questions while you get this implemented!
