Change the sender per signup form for signup confirmation emails

We need different sign up confirmations to come from different email addresses. In the account settings, I only see the option for one  "default sender" but we'd like to send from two different email addresses depending on the sign up.

Hi! There isn't a way to have multiple signup confirmations. I'd love to share your idea with our developers; will you help me understand how you'd use this? For example, is your goal to have the confirmation email send from Bob if the new subscriber selects Texas from the State dropdown field and Sally if the new subscriber selects Tennessee? I want to get a better feel for the criteria that's important to you. :)

Thanks!

Thanks for your response :) Yes, that is essentially how we use it. The contact would be specific to one sign up form (not what they check in the sign up box itself). We would great a "Texas sign up form" and a "Tennessee Sign Up form" that we would publish on our website on those specific pages.  We wouldn't need to have two separate emails within a sign up form (i.e. checking Texas email list versus Tennessee email list) but rather a different sender for different sign up forms. We have some program specific email contacts, and it would be preferable if their sign-up confirmation could come from a specific email (other than the default). For our purposes, we'd only need two different emails (we're not going crazy with 100 different sign up confirmation senders or anything). But it would be awesome if that functionality were available. I imagine it would function similar to how you select the sender for the email campaigns. Right now we are opting to not send a sign up confirmation and will send personalized autoresponder emails for new sign ups instead.

Ah-ha, got it! That makes sense. I'm checking with the team to see if this is on the docket.

Hi Elyse! I'm marking this as Under Consideration for our forms overhaul next year. (You may have heard/read us talking/writing about how we're reconsidering how survey and signup forms work.)

One thing that you could do in the meantime is set up an automated welcome email and turn off the signup form's standard confirmation email, which would allow you to set different sender info based on the form being used. That doesn't totally satisfy your need for a different sender based on the new subscriber's response, but it is a way to control the sender, since the from email address set in your account is what sends the signup form's confirmation email.

Thanks for sharing this idea! I'm excited to see what we come up with for forms next year and how it helps you out. :)
