Is there a way to create email sequencing in Emma? Such as creating an automated email to go out to people who do a specific action such as a click through or open.

Hi Bross Group  - You can definitely set up a triggered send based on someone clicking a link in a previously sent email. When you move to the "review and send" phase, set the mailing type to Autoresponder, click "create a new trigger event (it's kind of small, so you might miss it), then choose the option for "someone clicks a link in one of my mailings". You'll move to a form where you can choose the previous mailing and the specific link to hook the new, triggered mailing to.

It's best to map out all of your steps before sending the initial mailing so that you can set everything up in order. It also helps to name your links clearly when you're building the emails.

Hope that helps!

Yep, absolutely! What you'll do is start creating a new campaign that you will use as your first automated email. Then, when you get to the send screen, you'll set it up as an Autoresponder instead of as a Standard mailing. Once you've selected the Autoresponder option, you'll see a dropdown menu to select the event that triggers the mailing. For your first one, you won't have any options yet, so you'll have to create a trigger event by clicking on the "create a new trigger event" link. That'll open a pop-up where you can fill in all the details about what kind of event you want to trigger your mailing, when you want your mailing to be sent, etc. Once you save your trigger event, you'll select it from the dropdown menu, then you'll Activate your mailing and your autoresponder will be all set up! If you want to create a series, you'd follow the same process with a new campaign for your second email and a new trigger event based on the same action but sent at a later time. Hope that helps. Emma has a bunch of additional documentation about it here if you need more details: https://support.myemma.com/Account_resources/Account_how-to/sending-a-trigger-or-autoresponder

Hey there! I want to give you all a quick shout to make sure you spotted our automation announcement this morning. This should make creating an email series like you describe so much easier.

We'd love to hear what other automation wishes are on your list, too, if you're up for chatting with us here. :)

I'd like to connect automated emails that include video content to a PayPal purchase. Can this be done easily with autoresponders, or do I need to integrate a shopping cart?

Hi Julie! This is a great thought in terms of the automation we're working toward. I'd like to get a little more info from you about how PayPal fits into your business: If you're using an ecommerce platform (like Magento or Shopify), then it's possible that an integration at the "shopping cart" level rather than at the payment method level could get you what you need. Will you share with me a little more about your intended use case?

Yes. I want to sell information products that are short videos, sent on a regular basis - for example, one new segment each sent three times per week for about 3 weeks or a month. So, 9 to 12 separate mini programs delivered to purchasers of the program. I want to trigger emails and program deliveries upon payment to my PayPal account.

Thanks, Julie! This is really helpful. I'm sharing your details with our Product Team to see how it applies to the integration work they're doing.

We don't have Paypal on the roadmap just yet, since we're focused on Shopify and Magento, so we're going to take a closer look once we wrap up there. :)

I'm so happy you all listened to my request. The previous way to send responders was just far too difficult to manage. We almost switched email companies because of it. We are hopeful the new solution works well, as it appears to be much more user friendly from the webinar I was on. Thanks

Is there any kind of "how to" available?  I think I have clicked on every single link possible when logged into my account and I can't find anything that refers to autoresponders or workflows.  Thanks!!!
