Issue with linked text

We use MyEmma to send 2 weekly newsletters. This week we noticed that when we copy and paste from our Word docs into our newsletters our links get dropped and we have to individually re-link everything. It happens with IE (v.11), Chrome (63) and Firefox (57). Any idea why this is happening suddenly?

Thanks for reaching out to Emma Support!

Recently, we improved the Editor in the way it handles pasted text "paste without styles" option is selected. 

Until now, when "paste without styles" was selected, all types of styling, HTML, CSS and even images would show up when pasted into the Editor. However, even that experience was inconsistently reported amongst users. Sometimes no content would paste, sometimes only some content would paste, etc. That experience was counterintuitive to the description of the pasting option selected and resulted in the need to first paste in an external text editor to strip the styles, then paste in the Emma Editor. This created an extra step in our users' workflow and ultimately made it more difficult than it needed to be. 

There is a work around in place for getting those links to post, as written in word, but it grabs all formatting and could potentially cause additional issues in the mailing and how it is displayed (placing your cursor in a text box, and hovering over the box with your mouse will bring up a small golden menu; from that menu if you click "Text Pasting" you can select "Paste with Styles".
