Ever wondered what the magic formula is for keeping your email out of the spam folder? The good folks at ReturnPath took a look at the words that most often appear in emails filtered to spam. Here's their word cloud of the top 50 words they found.

Picking the right words and phrases isn't foolproof: We also suggest:
  1. Asking your IT Department to whitelist Emma's sending domain and IP range, found at the bottom of this link.
  2. Asking your IT Department to register Emma as an authorized sender on your behalf.
  3. Asking your email recipients to add the from email address for your emails to their address book and Safe Sender lists.
And speaking of asking, are you asking the right questions before clicking Send?
