Kindful Integration - Triggering a Workflow

We currently connected Kindful with Emma and we sync contacts added in Kindful to the correct group in Emma. The Kindful App on the Integrations page is currently greyed out, Kindful Integration is not an option in the list of signup forms/integrations.

When a new person is added in Kindful to a specific group in Emma, is there a way that we can trigger a workflow to start an email drip?

My assumption is that this is caused by the Kindful App on the Emma Integration page being greyed out, but I wanted to be careful not to break our integration/lose data.

Thanks for the help!

Hey there,

So a series will not trigger when you pull folks into a group but you may be able to get the series to trigger with a field change. You would need to set up a custom filed in Emma and Kindful...but the automation could be set up to pay attention to that field. Info about setting that kind of trigger up can be found here: https://support.e2ma.net/Resource_Center/Guide_to_Automation/Trigger_events%3A_field_change

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks! It's not the most eloquent solution but it just might work. There's one snag I'm worried about.

Could you help me check my logic on this one?

Setup on Kindful Side

1. Contact fills out a Kindful form associated to a mapped group
2. Kindful sets a custom field LATEST_GROUP to the name of the group (or a code related to that group) that was just added
3. Kindful and Emma Sync

Triggering Events on Emma Side

If Contact Already Exists
1. Emma notices that a person in the selected mapped group has changed from ANYTHING
2. Emma checks if that changes to the name/code matching the group (else this workflow my fire erroneously) - this code can be hard-coded into the form
3. Emma starts the workflow on that contact

If Contact is New

Will Emma notice the change? Is this considered part of the "Add"?

Thanks for your help Laura!

Hey there, I wanted to jump in.  If I'm understanding your setup correctly, then yes, it will work, even for new contacts.  Assuming you have the trigger set up to look for "ANYTHING" to "SPECIFIC SOMETHING"

For example, in Kindful, you would have "Fun New Field"... and in Emma, you would also have "Fun new Field", and you would map them together in Kindful.

In Emma, you would set up the automation to look for a Field Change in the "Fun New Field" from ANYTHING to "SPECIFIC SOMETHING" ... Just make sure the spelling and capitalization is exact on that.

Emma will see that change, even in new entries.  And people will be able to re-enter the workflow if "Fun New Field" is reset to anything else and then moved BACK to "SPECIFIC SOMETHING"

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hello Friends, I also have some queries related to Kindful and Emma integration. Let me know if I should post this query somewhere else. I just integrated Kindful with Emma by adding API keys etc..

I have a campaign in Kindful and I want to add prospects automatically in a new group/list in Emma whenever they make donation in this campaign, so that I can share email campaigns from Emma with this group.. I found a Kindful link where manual process was mentioned to move users to a group in Emma however I want it to trigger automatically..

Thanks.

Hey there,

I'm not 100% sure of your question, but let me see if I can hit it right here.

The Kindful integration does bring people into Emma automatically, and you can trigger automation workflows off of that information coming in (see above for explanation on how to do it).

As far as adding folks automatically into Emma groups IN Kindful, I was not able to find a way to do that.  It did have to be manually done.

Since the integration was not built by us, we are limited in the trouble-shooting that we can do for it.  But we do have an understanding of how it should work for the most part.

Let me know if you have any more questions!
