Talking to Emma users day in and day out gives me a pretty good feel for your email marketing goals and what Emma can do to help get you there. I'm so super excited to start talking about our new automation features to come in November because I know how much easier they're going to make your work. And if there's anything I love, it's automating manual work.

Coming up, you'll have a new workflow builder that starts like this:

(Click the image to view it larger.)

This makes it oh-so easy to build an automated series for new subscribers, lapsed customers, event reminders or prospect nurturing. It's a more intuitive way to set up your automation (like welcome emails, coupons, birthday greetings, rewards for purchases made, event registration confirmations and more) so you can step away for those tasks you can't automate (like playing with your dog and listening to your mom catch you up on her neighborhood drama).

Go to our blog to see more workflow wireframes, and let us know below what other automation wish is on your list!

Hi, Katie. I've been wanting to do something about sending a email series to new leads for a long time, but I've waited because I stay covered up these days and I knew Emma had something big in the works. It looks like you are building a tool to help users plan and manage the workflow, and I like what I see so far. Can't wait to get started!

Regarding the new Automations.. Do I need to create an automation to replace the Triggered emails I already had set up?  My existing triggers do not appear in the new Automation Tab as a workflow, so should the old triggers be removed and new workflows be created?  What would be the best way to remove old triggers?

Thanks!
Psydde

Hi Psydde! You will want to recreate your triggered emails using the new automation. We have more information here, in the Resource Center, about how to recreate those workflows and cancel old triggered autoresponders.

I hope this helps!

Not a fan of the new interface design, especially in Campaigns - where have drafts gone? How do I find the drafts I am working on in a huge list that just reads "idle"? I'm assuming drafts and sent emails are now bundled into the one group - makes it very hard to find them when they are all marked "idle"  - which means what by the way? This seems very complicated for what should be a simple task.

I am excited about the possibilities. This is something I've wanted to do since the years I've been with Emma. I'd seen other similar companies provide it for their clients and knew it could work for Emma. So I am planning a training process with downloads attached. As it gains momentum I'll add a shopping cart to it between the emails and downloads. Thanks to automation, I can now see a direct link to investing in Emma and profit! THANK YOU EMMA!!!!

Automation may be great, but you didn't answer my question: where are the drafts? And how with the current interface am I supposed to easily find them to work on them when they are just in a huge list of drafts and sent campaigns? It is in efficient and frustrating to have everything other than scheduled campaigns marked as "idle".

Good morning! Cody has an explanation in this conversation about what idle mailings are and what our plans are to clarify these changes. I hope this helps.

When I try to set up an automated workflow based on a link trigger, the menu that pops up on the right doesn't list my scheduled emails, nor all of my most recently sent emails.  What do I need to do about that?
