We're in the process of rolling out an all-new Response experience to Emma users.

If you've got early access, we want to hear from you: Tell us about your favorite new metric, how you'll use this data in your marketing reporting and planning, and of course, if there's anything that doesn't look quite right, we want to hear about that, too.

  1. The Mailing Score calculates performance based on opens, clicks, shares and opt-outs.
  2. Opens by Device tells you how mobile your email audience is.
  3. Opens by Client helps you make smarter design decisions.
  4. The click map shows you how people are interacting with your content.

If I post here with a cute photo of a kitten, will you enable me to be a new Response viewer? =)

I love the new look! Especially the click map; I think it's a very clean, simple, and effective way to visualize the data.
One thing I've been curious about, though, is weather there's a way to filter out 'Test' emails so that they aren't contributing to the data set?

I'm glad to hear the new look is working for you! There isn't a way to filter out test mailings, but I love that idea and it's one we're tracking here, if you'd like to add your vote. We aren't building that capability right now, yet it's really helpful to know how many folks are interested in it.

Hi Katie!  Just wanted to tell you I just sent my first mailing with the new response page and I love it!  The click map is really cool and is giving me ideas on what I should and shouldn't include in my future mailings based on what my customers are clicking on.  Great upgrade!!  Thanks :)

I like the new available data. Is it possible to see Opens, Clicks, etc. by device? We are trying to determine if our template is prompting mobile device users to engage.

Yep! You'll spot opens by device on the lefthand side of a mailing's response page:

We don't include clicks by device, though. I'm curious: What would you change in your mailings by accessing that data?

To piggyback off of what Katie said, at this time, we're displaying opens by device as desktop vs. mobile. Mobile opens will include all iPhone and Android phones, as well as iPad and Android tablets. With the ever-changing landscape of the mobile industry and available device options, we decided to simplify it down to a "mobile" category.

We're not currently tracking clicks by device, but we are certainly open to feedback and suggestions for how we can provide you with more meaningful Response insights. Thanks for your feedback!

We would use it to determine if our emails are formatted in such a way that mobile users are engaging. As I understand it, most mobile users will open an email and if it is not easy to read, navigate, click they will just delete. So knowing if mobile users are clicking will tell us that.

That's a great point! If there was a new 'Clicks by device' section that broke down total clicks by desktop vs. mobile clicks, would that suffice, or would you want to see more detail there?

Where can I see who has clicked on a particular link on the new interface?

Hi there,
To see the breakdown of who has clicked on a particular link, simply click over to the 'Clicks' tab at the top, and you'll get choose from the list of available links.

If you're on the main overview tab, in the Click analysis section you should see options to switch between 'Click map' and 'List' to the right. Click on 'List' to see the breakdown link by link of click percentages:

Hope this helps!

Hello!

On the new responsive overview, is the community average across all of Emma's users? Or for agencies is it just our subaccounts?

Thanks!

Hi there,
The Community average in Response is across all of Emma's users.

Stay tuned, though, as we are working on an awesome new dashboard for our agencies to get a look at insights specific to your sub accounts. If you're interested in being a beta tester, we can get that turned on for you this week.

Hello - will we be able to see results segmented by mailing group?

Hey there,

That's an idea we've been considering. It's not in the immediate plans, but it's under consideration. I could envision the "X groups" at the top behaving as a filter on the data, and you could toggle back to see the total response across all groups. We would then provide a different way to access that group within your Audience if you'd like to click over to manage the group.

Thanks for the feedback!

Best,
David

It's been so fun hearing your impressions of the new Response page. What are you changing now with these new insights?

For me, the click map is showing that my image links are clicked three times as often as linked text. I've started making sure that each image has a link, and it's really paid off.

What's the top thing you've learned?
