I have added a form to my website hoteldeals.co.uk and the lightbox form will not disappear after clicking on the X button or after submitting. Do you know what the issue could be?

Thanks
Mat

Sorry that you're sad, Mat, but I can definitely help here!

I took a look at your "Hoteldeals.co.uk [TEST]" lightbox form and that pop-up is set to always display; this means that the lightbox form won't appear after you have signed up, but if you are just clicking X without signing up, the form will continue to appear on each visit to your site. Not to worry -- changing the settings to display only "Once" should resolve this issue!

While editing your form, step 6 of 8 allows you to choose when the lightbox form displays, so you can change the settings from "Always" to "Once". Now, your form will still stop appearing for anyone who has clicked X, already signed up, or cleared their cache and cookies.

You should be all set from here but just give me a shout if you have any follow-up questions Mat.

Hi there!  I popped on to your website, and it looks like you don't have the code for the lightbox in the right place in your website code.  You'll want to make sure to put that directly before the closing body tag  ( </body> ) .

Go ahead and move that code and give it a try.

Cheers!

Tried adding it before the closing body tag but since the website is on Wordpress it cant it seem not to work well. Do you have any idea what might be the cause of the problem?

Hello there!

Since you mentioned that you have a WordPress site, I wanted to share this Resource Center article with WordPress-specific steps for adding a lightbox form: https://support.e2ma.net/Resource_Center/Account_how-to/Customizing_your_lightbox_form#WordPress. That being said, I went to your website and saw your lightbox form on the homepage -- after clicking X, the form did not display, which is expected behavior based on your form's settings. If your form is continuously popping up, can you clear your cache and delete your cookies on your browser? Also, if you're in Safari, you'll want to ensure that website tracking is enabled, or your browser will continue to load the lightbox form (since it can't track that you've visited that site before).

We'll be sure to keep an eye out for any additional information you might provide here!
