Is it possible to link a button in the drag and drop editor to a document loaded in emma's library?

Hi there!

Thanks for a great question.  You can definitely use a button block, image or hyperlink to link to a document in the document library.  When you upload a document to your library, it's hosted on our server and is given it's own URL.

You can grab that URL for the document once it's uploaded by opening up your document library from the campaigns page and using the downward-facing arrow next to the name of the document to "Copy this document URL."  You can then paste that URL as you would any other link to a website. That looks like this:

As a word of caution: if the document you're linking to is at least somewhat sensitive, it's important to know the link to that document will remain active even after you remove that document from the document library.  So take extra care what you're sending is to the right people.

You can find more information on using the Image and Document libraries HERE on our Resource Center.

Hope that helps!  Let me know if you have any questions :)

Hi there Mortenson Construction!

I believe Sam answered your question above!   You absolutely can!  You'll just want to open up the document library and grab the URL for the document and paste it into the URL field of the button!

Let me know if you have any questions on that!

Ok I need a step before this --- how do I open my document library so I can start uploading documents?

Hi there!  Your document library can be found on your Campaigns page.  Depending on the version of Emma you're using, it will either be in the sidebar on the left or in a button labeled "documents" on the top-right or the Campaigns page.

Hello Grey - I have followed your instructions to link a button to a pdf doc uploaded in my documents library.  When I send the test campaign, it doesn't work - I get a "This Site Can't be Reached" page.  The campaign in my MyEmma account is titled 'DiSC Facilitator Training, March2018'...can you help?  About to pull my hair out!  Lol
