my email address got marked as opt-out

My account is tied to our Salesforce instance.  Somehow my work address got marked as opt out and I cannot even send a test of a campaign email to myself.  I cannot change the opt-out status in EMMA and when I try to do so in SF it will not take.  It allows me (as an admin) to uncheck the opt-out box, but when I go to save the contact it does not stick.

Thanks for reaching out. It is indeed expected behavior that you're unable to opt yourself back in via Emma or Salesforce. This is to maintain compliance with federal CAN-SPAM regulations around permission based marketing. The subscriber must give consent to opt back in - even if that subscriber is you!
