My Emma autoresponder unsubscribe from inside Salesforce contact record?

I'm using Salesforce and My Emma.  I'd like to automatically subscribe people who fill out the contact form on our website to a My Emma autoresponder series.  (I know we can do this.)

Then when a lead responds to an email, I'd like to unsubscribe them from the autoresponder series since the communication will continue manually.

My question: is it possible for me to manually unsubscribe a lead from this autoresponder from inside the contact's Salesforce record?

Hi there! There is not currently a way to "unsubscribe" an audience member from an autoresponder series without deactivating the entire autoresponder, even if you remove the Salesforce integration from the equation. It may be more effective to edit your autoresponder series. I may be able to speak more specifically to this if I knew exactly what you are trying to accomplish with the series and why you don't want those contacts that have responded to continue receiving it.

Let me know how I can help!

Hi, Emily.

Here's what I'm trying to do:

- We receive an inquiry about our services through a form on our website.

- We want to subscribe them to a 3 email autoresponder series with the goal of getting them on the phone.

- Once they respond to the email OR call us, we'd no longer want them on this email sequence because the follow up would be manual from that point on.

Ideally, it would be great to be able to stop or unsubscribe a lead from inside Salesforce once we've contacted them.  It's very common that someone emails us for information and then never responds again; that's why automated follow up is so helpful.

Does this help explain what we're trying to do?

Thanks,

Stephanie

Hi Stephanie! I apologize for my delay in responding. I was trolling for information from our developers. :)

I've confirmed that what you're trying to do is not currently a function of our autoresponders. As it stands, you cannot "unsubscribe" a contact from an autoresponder without deactivating the entire autoresponder. However, our developers are working on a new autoresponder interface that should provide this functionality! Essentially, you will be able to set more detailed parameters for how autoresponders behave. You will also have more control through added workflow flexibility.

I don't have an estimate on when this will be live, but you can follow along with this thread for the latest update. The last post is from Cody, the lead on this product development team. You can watch for another post from him soon!
