Add or remove mailings to active automated workflows

We have created an automated Welcome campaign for new subscribers. The first 4 emails in the campaign have been very successful, but the last email is not performing well at all. We want to either de-activate or un-publish the last email. Doing so will not affect the other emails/their sending triggers, since this is the last email. I can't find any way to de-activate, un-publish, or even delete this email. How do I do that? We don't want to keep paying for sends of the 5th email.

Hi there -- You can edit your email's settings, but you cannot exchange emails in a workflow once the workflow has been activated. If you'd like to change which emails send as part of this workflow, you'll need to recreate the workflow without the final email in the series.

It's possible that our product team could work the ability to add or remove mailings from an active workflow into future development work. I'm changing this post to an Idea and updating the subject line so that we can track similar requests. I'll check in with the product team to see what their plans are for automation. :)

Hi again -- While this isn't on deck for immediate work, we are looking to expand Automation functionality. Depending on what kind of customer feedback we can gather here, this work could be included! I'm marking this Idea as Under consideration. :)

Emily, I'd like to jump in here to express my support for the idea of making an automation workflow less "permanent" and easier for users to modify. Effective marketing tools require a lot of testings and certainly some trials and errors in order to figure out what is working and to make improvements in conversion rates. I'd welcome the ability to rearrange the order of the emails in an automation sequence, and the ability to add or remove specific emails within the sequence -- without having to start over each time from scratch. It could be a huge time saver, as well as encouraging experimentation if we could more easily edit an existing automation workflow.

Hi there,
any update on this feature here?

I would really appreciate that I can add or change mailings of an existing and working automation workflow. This would be a major benefit for users and a point of difference to other mailing softwares. I think even mailchimp does not support his.

For meantime: Is there any workaround for this at the moment?
I am sending a education workflow with several emails and only the ones who finished this workflow should receive more emails. If I use another workflow that sends to the emails to all members of the group I would also send the final emails to users who do not have finished the current workflow.

I hope my explanaition helps you understanding my problem.

I would like to add my vote to being able to edit an existing workflow: being able to re-arrange the order of the emails, or add or subtract emails in the workflow.

Thanks!

We've built quite a few automations, and I love to tinker with them. This feature would be mildly life-changing for me

Ditto! I'd love to have the ability to remove an email that isn't performing well! Thanks for listening!
