To comply with GDPR, I created an email to send to our Europe subscribers to opt-in to our mailing list.If they get the HTML version of the email, the link - [% optin_confirm_url %] - works but if they received the plain text version, they get an error message - "The page cannot be found."

The plain text version is changing the link to a tracking URL even when I specifically change it to [% optin_confirm_url %]. It works when I send a test message to myself but not when I send out the actual email.

This is a big problem for us if we are trying to get people to confirm opt-in.

I tested the opt in confirmation link in my own account, using a drag and drop editor campaign and was able to successfully confirm opt in both in an HTML mailing and plaintext mailing.

I did notice two confirmation mailings in your drafts that are including your confirmation link in an HTML block. While custom HTML would be out of scope for what we would support, I can suggest including the tag by its self just as [% optin_confirm_url %].

This should render a full link for your recipients to utilize confirming opt in.

If you're seeing issues including this in a drag and drop element feel free to write back with the exact campaign name and I'm happy to jump in and take a look!

Feel free to look over our resource center guide that details creating an opt in confirmation mailing here:
