Hi!

Is there some way I can organize my campaigns into folders so I don't have to search through all of them every time I want to use one?

Hello! There isn't a way right now to organize campaigns into folders, but I'd love to learn more about what type of folders you'd create. Seasonal? Targeted audience groups? Marketing goals?

To be able to arrange email campaigns in folders by season, year, and targeted audience group would be fantastic!

Hey there!  I don't have an actual update from our developers on it, but I'll check in with them and post back here when I get an update.

Great idea. We have various categories - triggered, local, system-wide, offers, specific campaigns, etc. It would be very helpful to have the ability to organize into folders.

I checked in with a product owner, who let me know that there's an idea floating around for tagging campaigns to be able to search your emails by the assigned tags, instead of placing emails into folders. I'd like to get your impression of that idea and hear how you'd want it to work so I can pass it back to her as the idea takes shape.

This idea doesn't have a timeframe yet, so I'm going to edit the subject line here and mark this one as Not Planned until we have more definition around it.

I agree, some way to organize images would be fantastic.  I would like to see something like you use in Windows Explorer where we can have folders that we name ourselves to keep various images in and then only access the folder we want. That way we could keep more images in our library and hopefully not shut down everything by searching thru all of our images each time we want one.

I did.  Looks like people have been asking for this for well over a year.  Do you think it will happen soon?

That's definitely a useful idea to me. Implementing that with a drop-down list filter would be even more awesome and would help it be as fast as folders.

Make Campaigns Searchable by Name.

I BEG you: make the campaigns themselves searchable. I.e., let customers search for a given campaign by keyword or title, without having to dig through the list page by page. If I'm looking for October 2012 Newsletter, for instance, I should be able to enter "October 2012 Newsletter" and have it pop up. Otherwise I have to scroll through 100 pages of campaign names!

Still being able to search them in a search box would be great including keywords and titles, etc.

A filter section would be most preferable. That and folders to be able to organize campaigns for same event but different occurring years. Assigning tags or keywords would help with the filtering process but I believe that currently the best and fastest implementation should occur on the folders side to be able to organize between the "test" and the "sent" campaigns. As well as manage campaigns per year's sent.

Anyone know what the status of these ideas are? I added to the folder conversation some time ago, but I also like the tags/keywords. My last email client had hundreds of folders and a search field that essentially worked the same way a keyword/tag would. The idea of a drop down so that you don't have to "turn" pages and pages of folders  to find the right one would be awesome.

I'd also really like this level of organization for managing fields. I have way a lot and it's hard to find the right one if it needs to be edited or regrouped.

This is definitely still on our radar, and we know what a time-saver it would be for Emma users. The way the mailing structure is currently built makes in incapable of this type of organization, so we'd need to revise the product.

I'll keep you in the loop as I receive news, and I'm leaving this as Not Planned right now since we don't have a timeline for this year to build this.

SAMPLE -- file organization for images via Constant Contact.  We are in the process of migrating to EMMA, but this feature would be super helpful!!

Yes, to all of the above! It always makes sense to have organization, especially on that agency level where we usually deal with high volume clients/emails.

Yes Yes. It would be so great to be able to organize campaigns. We run a program and start a new one every year. We have multiple emails for each segment of the program. It would be so great to be able to separate them from all the other communication we do that is not repeated.

Add categorization for campaigns.

I'd like to be able to categorize my various campaigns so that I could then go back and isolate campaigns by type, such as "monthly newsletter," "donation plea," "press release," etc. You could also do things like show average score for that given category so we can see if one email landed better than another in that same category.

Organize mailings into marketing campaigns.

I'm going to weigh in here on a slightly different note.

I've always thought that the difference between "campaign" and "mailing" causes some confusion, even though they seem to be used interchangeably in Emma. What I would like to see is the ability to create a "campaign," for instance: "Back to School Blitz" and then create a series of separate mailings that could be clustered under that campaign--for instance, I want to do five different mailings as a part of this campaign. The end result would be reporting for the campaign overall and I could also see response statistics for each mailing.

Sounds complicated but I think many of us who have a strong use of Emma could use this type of organization to make our work easier to organize and evaluate its results.

Note: This topic was created from a reply on the Is there a way to add a new audience member to an already sent campaign? topic.

Is this still "under construction"? I'd also like to see the ability to out documents and images into folders.

Hi Bonnie! Yes, we're still working through how this would function and look before we set a date for releasing it. :)

As for documents and images, you can follow the thread here for those updates!

I would also like to vote for this feature.  We have 5 different manabers each with 4-5 different branded products they each market.  It would be nice to have account organization.

Hello,

I would also like to vote for this feature. This is an important feature when you are having multiple campaigns run across an organization at once. This also allows for users to view campaigns by year.

This could be useful as well to organize templates/campaigns an account consistently uses.

Thanks,

The ability to organize campaigns into folders is essential. I am evaluating Emma now on a free trial. We send scores of emails per year and must be able to organize and find them by type (newsletters, one-time promos, re-targeting campaigns, events)

I agree with the comments above by Clean Energy Works and YMCA. B/C multiple users in my org create campaigns - it is messy in there. The issue is important enough that we are looking around to find a service that offers this...we love Emma - but the organizational piece is essential for us..

I agree!  This is desperately needed.  I really like Emma, but am considering looking for another service as the longer I'm with you, the worse my mess of unorganization becomes apparent when I can sort my campaigns by seasons and products.

Wow... this has been in active consideration for 4+ years according to this thread.  Being able to organize into folders or by tags would be super helpful.  We've been on Emma for 5 years or so now and considering other options, and this is a primary factor.  With the number of emails we send agency wide, we've got an endless list of emails from past several years and finding a particular one is a little time consuming at best. We demo'ed another platform and seeing their ability to tag campaigns for organization was so simple and a "wow, we NEED to be able to do that" moment.  I'm hoping someone is looking at this as a priority, but being that this is a 4 year old thread, I'm guessing not.

Hey Jason,

Yeah, this one has certainly been around a while, and has been superseded by other improvements or changes that we needed to make.

I do know that there have been many different iterations for what that might look like in our app, be it a folder system or, more likely, using tagging of some kind.

While I don't have any hard dates for when we would be looking to launch something like that, I know the plans would be to have this sort of system in place for more than just campaigns as well.

All of that said, we hear you, we certainly know this is something that has been a goal for a while, and when we have a solid system ready to roll out and it's done right, we'll get it rolled out and there will be much rejoicing!  :)
