Plaintext auto updating on its own?

When I copy an existing email and modify the HTML, the plaintext seems to auto update itself to the new text, overwriting previously formatted plaintext.

Is this a new feature? Can we turn it off? This is troublesome because many of our emails are cloned from others, but require lots of plain text formatting that needs to stay the same!

HI there!

The plaintext SHOULD carry over from a copied mailing (I just tested in my account and it did).  However, using older emails to create new emails can cause issues over time.  The HTML in the template can begin to break down when copied over and over and over again.

That being said, I wanted to look at two things:

1. It may be helpful to start with a fresh version of your template in your next mailing, instead of using a copy.  This should help.
2. If you'd like, we can edit your template to include specific plaintext if you'd like.  If you have specific things that you'd like included in the plaintext version of every mailing, that is.  If you're interested in that, let me know and I'll reach out and we'll make it happen.
