Please let me segment by bounce count

I've been reactivating select bounces -- specifically those who have successfully received and/or opened an email in the last few weeks, or have only bounced once or twice. To do the latter, I have to export a list and sort by bounce count in Excel. It would be great if I could use bounce count as one of the contact fields to be able to segment by that criteria.

Hey Laurie,

I'll certainly pass that along!

When you say "bounce count", do you mean soft bounces?  Or hard bounces that you've reactivated?

I want to make sure of what process you're doing so I can know exactly what you're looking for.

Cheers!

Good question. When I export my contacts, there is a column for "bounce count," and that's what I've been going by. Does that include both hard and soft bounces?

Gotcha!

This number does include both hard and soft bounces, but that count does RESET after a successful delivery.

I'll add this in as a feature request for you!

Cheers!

Cool! I had no idea it resets. That's really good to know. Thanks.

how is there a successful delivery after a bounce?  I thought once there was a bounce the contact was automatically shifted to 'error' status?

Once a contact has "HARD" bounced, they move into error status.  If a contact has soft bounced, we continue trying to send until we have 3 consecutive soft bounces.

You can find more info on that HERE IN OUR RESOURCE CENTER.

What do the different numbers mean in the bounce count column on the exported spreadsheet?
