Can I edit the signup confirmation email when using the Wordpress plugin?

Hi there, I try to get the Emma for Wordpress Plug In started, but it ́s not working well. I wanted to edit the confirmation mail, the user gets after subscription, but cannot find the place to change the text.

I already managed the preferences in Emma ́s backend, but the Plug In denies the ID. It ́s only possible to use a second ID, that works. But it doesn ́t connect with the right preferences. (The correct ID says in WP there are no groups to find in order to save the users after subscription).

I thought about using the "Publish Sign Up Form" option (because it refers to the preferences in Emma, I made), but I just need a clean form on the website and not a pop up or something like that. Probably the same as already given in WP (just  small field in the footer).

At the end, I just need a solution to send the users a german confirmation with an individual text. And I need a clean form.

Is there anybody out there who can help (and understand my thoughts ;-) )?

Thanks in advance and best wishes from cologne, Tanja

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out about the Wordpress plug-in. I'm happy to help you with this. With the Wordpress plugin, there's not currently a way to customize confirmation email that sends by default.

Even though the 'send confirmation' box on the form is unchecked in Emma, you're not really using that form, you're just using the signup ID of that form which allows the signups to be added to the appropriate group(s), but it's not using any modifications you may make on the confirm it/manage prefs tabs of that form.

So long as you like the look of the classic form you have created in Emma, you may be able to use one of the publish options there, which would enable the use of the edited confirmation email.

Another option would be to have the Emma Tech Services team create something for you.  Let me know if you'd like me to get them in touch with you to chat about this option!
