We are receiving an error in the Salesforce Emma Email Marketing app:

Visualforce Error

An unexpected error has occurred. Your solution provider has been notified. (emma)

This happens when trying to view a group within the "Emma Groups" object. Thanks for your help!

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out. I'm happy to look into this for you, though in order to do so, I'll need access to your Salesforce instance. Could you please follow the directions outlined here to grant access and then let me know once it's been granted?

Also, could you let me know in which group(s) you are seeing this error? Are you using Salesforce Lightning or Classic?

Thanks in advance, and I'll look for your reply here!

Thanks, Heather! Access granted.

None of the groups are working. Most importantly: All Email, Board & Staff, and Alumni. I am currently on Classic, but hopefully moving to Lightning soon - unless there are issues with Emma's Salesforce app and Lightning?

Thanks, Brian! I'm going to upgrade you to the most recent version of the integration (3.54) and take a closer look.

There are no current issues with Lightning - I asked that because we did release an update a little while back that fixed an issue with groups refreshing in Lightning. It has since been resolved, but I wanted to see if that could be what you are seeing.

I'll investigate and reach back out shortly!

Hi Brian,

A few updates for you!

1. I've upgraded your integration to the most current version, 3.54. This will make sure that things are Lightning-ready for you!

2. I've assigned permission sets for the Emma application. There were no permissions assigned previously, which is why you were seeing that error when trying to access Emma groups in Salesforce. You should be able to see the group information now.

3. One final step I'll need you to complete on your end is to connect Emma + Salesforce and establish the OAuth connection.

To do this, please go to Salesforce and navigate to Emma Email Marketing > Emma Setup. Click on "Start Setup" and then "Connect to Salesforce." When prompted, choose Production and enter your Emma login credentials. Choose "Allow" to permit the two applications to exchange information.

Once this has been completed, you may return to Salesforce. Click through the setup steps to Step 3 and then choose "Complete Setup." This will re-initiate the sync and synchronize all of the groups.

Hopefully this will resolve things for you! Let me know once you had a chance to complete that last step, or if you have any additional questions along the way!
