Our Systems team will be performing scheduled system maintenance on Friday, March 18 from 11:00pm until Saturday, March 19 at 2:00am US Central time.

What should users expect?
 - The Emma application will be unavailable to users during this maintenance window.
 - In progress mailings will complete the sending process once this maintenance is complete.
 - Audience and response data logging will complete once this system maintenance is compete.

What is the purpose of this maintenance?
There are many supporting systems at work behind the scenes to keep the Emma application running appropriately for all users. This specific update is to one of those supporting systems.

Why the downtime?
For this specific system update to process we have to pull our system offline for a bit of time. We do hope that this work will not take the full scheduled time window and we realize the impact that downtime has on our users. We will work quickly to complete this project and restore full user access to the Emma application.

An update will be provided here before, during and after this maintenance is complete.

Cheers!

Thanks for reporting that here. While releasing an update to the application, we released a bug that had not yet been identified in our testing. We're rolling that update back now and should have things back in order very soon! I will be sure to update you here when that is the case.

This was not part of the planned maintenance announced here. Thanks for your patience.

I've heard from our systems team and the problematic code introduced today has been removed and things are humming along as we would like.

To add a bit of clarification here, the Emma application is an iterative environment where feature updates, stability enhancements, and system modifications happen behind the scenes almost daily. This is common practice in the world of web applications and in almost all of those instances, our users never even notice those updates being made. We are very sorry that in this event we dropped the ball and created an interruption to your work day and work process. We take great pride and ownership in our work and we know that our users depend on a stable application environment. We are debriefing as a team here to identify where we went wrong and how to prevent events like this in the future.

Tomorrow night's scheduled downtime is still on our systems calendar.

Tonight's scheduled maintenance is complete.

I'm glad to share that we completed this work and had application access and usage fully restored at 11:58PM US Central.

From 11:59PM until around 1:15AM we performed usage test to verify that all application activities completed as expected and all of those test checked out appropriately.

Please do post a new topic here in Emma Community if you have any questions about your Emma account.

Cheers!
