Hello! We sent a large mailing last week, and had a high bounce count. When I go to save the bounces as a segment, the segment will not run (continues to show "0"). Could I please get that segment? And could I get more detailed information about the bounces for this mailing? (34676260) Thanks!

Hi Denise,

Currently you cannot segment based on bounces with our segmenting tool. For the time being, in order to work around this limitation, you will need to export that data and re-import it into a group.

As for what caused all those bounces, it looks as if you all need to add us to your SPF (sender policy framework). Updating them to include us (e2ma.net) should help significantly. For more information on SPF and how to update them, just take a look at these articles.

What's an SPF record?

I hope this info helps, but please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!

Hello!

I hope it helps--I've asked that our SPF record be updated as you suggested.

In the meantime, may I suggest that the segment button be removed on the bounces page if it doesn't work?

Thanks!
Denise

Sounds good, Denise! I'll be sure to pass that request along to our Product team.

Hello again!

Adding a third-party vendor to our SPF is unlikely to happen. Is Emma able to assign an email address for us to use to send emails from your servers, like YourBusiness@emma.com

Thank you,
Denise

Hi there, we are not able to provide a sender address from our domain.

Really the only option to go with is the SPF record update and Whitelisting.  Is there a particular reason that that would be an issue?  It is standard practice whenever you're using a 3rd party software for sending marketing emails.

If there is any other additional information you need from us on that, please let us know.
