I am setting up the SPF. My question is what is the HOST NAME field suppose to say. I am working in Bulk Register  and I have three fields I need to fill out. HOST NAME, RECORD TYPE, and then the SPF formatted statement. I understand the Record type is TXT and I understand the SPF statement format but I was not sure what The HOST NAME should be called when setting up the SPF.

Hi! For most systems like this, the HOST NAME will be your domain name. For example for my domain, I would put a HOST NAME of 'xodus.org'. Take a look at your MX record's HOST NAME as a reference. I expect that it should match what's there.

In a very few rare cases, they might want you to put an '@' for the HOST NAME (it's treated as an alias for the domain name) or even leave it blank. Chances are high though that you'll need to put your real domain name in.
