I'd like to send an automated email when someone signs up that includes a unique coupon code. Is there any way to set up a template using html to pull a unique coupon code from an uploaded list? I can do this with mail merge in Outlook or Thunderbird, but I would like it to be handled in Emma.

Hi Cynthia,

I'm going to point you to another Community case we had with this same topic a while back.  This was Katie's answer (it's buried in there a bit):

Hi! There isn't a way to pre-populate a field when a new subscriber signs up. What you might do is include a non-unique coupon code in your welcome autoresponder so that each new subscriber receives that code, and say it's NEWUSER1. However you use coupon codes in your point of sales system, you might be able to make it so that each email address associated with a customer can only use NEWUSER1 once.

That way, you don't have to have a code unique to them. How does that sound?

Another option might be to try using our open API to code a custom signup form (instead of using one from your Emma Audience page), and when you pass back your API calls, you could include a coupon code. We don't provide support for the API, so I'm not able to coach you through that process, but if you're API-savvy, you might look into taking this route.

Let me know if you have any more questions!
