Setting up client billing from Agency Portal

Hey all,

I ran into you guys at DMA2014 in San Diego CA. I was told that you built out your own client invoicing portal so that an Agency can bill their clients directly and not have to worry about the email sending fees.

Where can we do that? I found documentation on the API integration or Zapier stuff, but from what you described I thought it was something different.

Thanks!

Hey there! It sounds like you're describing our direct billing system. If your account is on a contact based plan, we can give you the option to set up direct billing for your subs. This will allow the sub to put a card on file, and be billed directly through our billing system, rather than be invoiced by you. For more info, take a look here.

We can also move existing subs to direct billing, but you'll need to let us know which subs, and also inform them that they'll need to put a card on file. If you'd like to get direct billing set up, or have questions about how to get your subs moved over, please let me know!

Hey Mike,

I took a look at your account, and noticed that you're on volume based pricing. We only offer direct billing for accounts that have contact based pricing. To get direct billing, you would first need to switch your account over to direct billing, and we could then activate that feature for that subaccount.

For more info on direct billing plans, take a look at our agency sheet here, and let me know if you have any more questions or want to make the switch to contact based pricing and direct biling!

I'm having a hard time finding the information on the page you sent. How does it impact my pricing today? I don't mind changing it I don't think...

Opps, sorry Mike! That link just went to the general page on agencies. If you scroll to the bottom of that page, and click the Download link, you can get that pricing info.

Hey Paul,

Thanks.. I would be ok with switching. Just to be clear the pricing that is shown the page is billed directly to the client (sub) account once we set it up that way?

We'll need to have US Claim Solutions on the 5,000 subscribers plan... maybe not though. I think they have less than 2K subscribers..

Thanks!

Hey Mike, I'll have our billing team switch your account over to contact based pricing, and let you know the next step for getting direct billing set up.

Are you still having trouble logging in? Also, what's the error you were getting? Let me know, and I'll take a look!

Nope it let me in this time. Thank you for the assist on the billing team.

If you could have them verify why it shows "3K" subscribers. I believe there are far fewer than that..

Thanks

Hey Mike, if you head into the Audience tab of your account, and click the View All Contacts button, you can view a list of all of the contacts in that subaccount.

If you're not sending to all of those people, you can feel free to clean them out!

Hey Mike,

I've got your agency account set up with direct billing, and your subaccount is set up as well. Right now, if you log in to the subaccount using the user's credentials (not your agency owner login), you'll be taken to a screen that prompts you to enter a credit card. Once we've got that card on file, the account will be direct billed.

Let me know if you run into any snags in the process!
