Sign up form users getting error message

When some, not all, people try to use our sign up form they are getting the following error:"Your request could not be completed. At some point, your email address was removed from this list. Please contact the sender directly to request re-admission or changes to your email preferences."

How can we get this corrected and why is it happening? Thanks!

Thanks for contacting the Emma Support Team!

Not a problem, it sounds like those contacts receiving that error have been in your Emma account previously, but have been archived or deleted from the account. At this point if they try to sign up again using your sign up form, it will not allow them to sign back up, but prompt them to contact you directly. If they were in Opt Out status, they would be able to sign themselves back in to your account to receive your mailings, but if they have been deleted from your account, you will need to add them back in manually or through import.
