Creating a new survey. How do I get the Stationary options to work? Either I don't have any stationary or it's missing, not sure which. But there are no templates, can't edit the "sample" and can't see how to upload stationary.

Hi! I’ve added a blank template for you to use for your surveys, but I want to explain a bit about the survey feature’s direction.

Surveys were created to work with our classic editor (which you’ll see in your account but newer accounts don’t have access to; they only have the drag & drop editor, while you have both right now). Because of that, they pull from the templates that were used in that older campaign creation tool.

Since surveys aren’t going to be integrated with the drag & drop editor, you aren’t able to use a template from the readymade template gallery for your survey, and our Design Team isn’t creating new templates for use in surveys, either.

You might consider instead moving to SurveyMonkey, where you can create your surveys and then link to them in your Emma mailing.

Let me know if you have any questions about this!

I have a survey that I created 2 years ago and would now like to send it out on a case by case basis but I don't see any send button. Can you help me?

Hello! You'll want to be inside a mailing you've created, and you'll link to a survey to send it out. Here's how to do that.

Katie, Doe this mean you are abandoning the survey support and integration?  I just signed up and this feature was one of the reasons, but I am finding it lacking in features and support the more I look around the forum.

Hi Joe! We aren’t abandoning surveys altogether, but surveys as they exist now will undergo a robust makeover down the line. We'll create a new form tool to take the place of both surveys and signup forms.

It isn’t being worked on right now, and there’s no danger of your survey tool being swept from underneath you; I haven’t heard any dates thrown out there regarding a timeline for phasing our surveys, so you can confidently continue using them. Since we know we want to pursue a new form tool, though, we aren’t revamping the current survey tool right now.

I hope this helps, Joe! We want to get you the best tools and features, and surveys are one area where we know we can improve.

Well, that explains why the survey tool looked to me like it was never finished (at least from a design standpoint) -- it was designed to work with the classic editor and not with the new drag-and-drop editor. I'll follow this post to keep up with future developments.

Not having a survey option is frustrating to say the least.  We need this to be integrated in order to understand what our client's needs are or if we are performing up to their satisfaction. When do you expect this function to actually be working?  We are in the process of debating whether to switch from Constant Contact and this will be a major deciding factor.  Will your survey tool also tabulate data received?

Hi there! The survey feature is at the bottom of your Campaigns page; are you not spotting it there? Survey data will be collected for you on the Response page.

Surveys are also working, so if you’re seeing a function that seems broken, please let me know!

You mentioned that Emma isn't designing any survey templates but are we able to create a new template for our survey? As a design company we can certainly create our own, but I'm not finding options for creating a custom template for a survey, just the newsletter. Does this function exist or do we have to use the blank or co-branded stationary?

There isn’t the ability to create a template for surveys. You’ll want to use a stationery option that’s already a part of the survey feature.

Good morning! There's been no change here, and we'll be sure to let you know if creating your own templates for surveys becomes a capability.

It is quite frustrating that it was not clearly stated that we would not be able to have any stationary with our surveys. This was one of the features that worked as a deciding factor between you and a competitor. We are very disappointed and would like to know if there will be any updates on the near future.

Hi there, Topeka Community Foundation.

I hate to hear you're frustrated over this! While we don't offer a default survey stationery gallery like the template gallery that can be used with the drag and drop campaign editor, you definitely do have some options available to you for customized survey stationery. If you have a single header image you'd like used on a survey stationery, you can save that header image to your Emma image library and give us a shout when it's there -- we'll whip up a basic stationery for you to use with your surveys that has that header in place (and the header image can be hyperlinked to one URL, if you'd like), and there'll be no charge for our Support team to do that for your account! If you're looking for something more complex than just a header image for the survey stationery, I'd be happy to put you in touch with our savvy Services team to get a custom quote pulled together.

Many Emma customers opt to set up their surveys on the blank stationery available since they'll be linking to the survey from a fully-designed HTML email, but these options are definitely available to get a custom survey stationery produced if that's the route you'd like to go. Please give me a shout here if you have a header image saved in your image library you'd like used on a survey stationery or if you'd like to be put in touch with my Services colleagues to get something more customized in the works!

So, just to clarify...there's no way to make a survey using anything but a blank template? Just black letters on a white background?

Hi there!

Adriane here, jumping in for Katie. Actually, I see that you have bought a custom template in the past called "Woods Fund of Chicago" so we can create a simplified version with the header as a survey stationery for no charge if you're interested. If you need to include links in that header image, we could take care of that as well. Otherwise, you are right, you'd just use the blank template stationery.

Let me know if you're interested in getting a survey stationery created to look like your custom template and I'll be glad to get that taken care of for you!

Hi, and thanks, I'm just seeing this. Yes, we are interested in that...can it be a survey template that we can use multiple times?

Hey there, apologies for missing this! If you're still looking for that survey stationery, just let me know which image and link you'd like to use. You'll be able to use it multiple times.

Let me know the image name (from your image library) and the link, and we'll get that built!

Hi There, I would like to change the stationary (header/footer) of a currently created email campaign. Please advise how I can do it. "TMFE-Electronics Newsletter1 - May 2015" is the name of current newsletter. Kumar, TECO, Singapore

Hi there, Kumar.

I took a look at a copy of the current mailing, and I see that you're using the template named "TECO Electronics AS New." That's a template that was designed by our design team several years ago, so any updates to the template design will need to be routed back through that team. To get the updates in the works, please submit our online design form detailing the changes you'd like made. Once the form has been submitted, you'll hear back directly from a member of that team with a concrete idea on pricing and turnaround time.

As soon the updated template design is ready, you can change your existing mailing over to the new template so you won't need to redo any of your content. If you need a little guidance on changing the template being used on an existing mailing, please check out this Resource Center article for the how-to.

Hope this helps clear things up!
