Template alignment issue

We have two primary templates: Hospital News BR and Hospital News HV. The photo and text frames are shifted to the left, and obviously not centered. I cannot determine why. We've tried to re-center the content several times and cannot find the issue. Help is appreciated. We do not edit the html, we simply work within the template. This has been an ongoing issue that we recently discovered. Thanks

Hey there!

Thank you for reaching out about this!  I jumped into your account to check out those templates. I recognize the trouble, and it is caused by something that is missing from the template code. I've looped in a code-savvy colleague to fix these up for you and as soon as that is done I'll be back in touch to let you know. Sorry for the inconvenience, and I'll be back in touch soon!

Hello!

I have returned with a solution to the issue with that left aligning image in your templates. So, the two templates you're seeing with this trouble were first created by saving a copy of a mailing as a template. The template used to create your template was from Emma's template gallery. The code issue that I mentioned has already been fixed in the original gallery template, so you'll just need to re-assign this template in a copy of a mailing and then re-save it as a template to see this resolved. Don't worry, I have steps and screenshots (because that sounded confusing).

First, you'll create a new mailing using one of those problematic templates. Then you'll click on 'show templates', see screenshot:

Then, you'll click on 'Browse Template Gallery' and choose the template called 'First Edition'.

Once you select the 'First Edition' template, you'll see the image is centered, and all other information in the mailing looks the same as before, (EXCEPT you'll have to put in your top logo image again).

Lastly, you'll save that copy as a template, and then you can retire the one you had used previously (that aligned the image left). You'll want to take these steps with the second template as well, which should resolve this issue moving forward.

I hope all this makes sense, but certainly if you need clarification on anything just reach back out!

Can you remove the template that has Hospital News BR 2-3-17 (for some reason the dateline didn't follow the updated margins and I had to add padding to it but that should work for us to use) Thanks

The new template has an issue. The dateline at the top, right under the top image, is not centered. Would that be possible to fix? Thanks

Hi there Wellmont,

1. Regarding deleting the template from "My Templates", that should be something you can do on your own.  You may have already figured this out, but I wanted to post anyway just to make sure.  First you'll click the button to "Create a new email"  from the Campaigns page, then hover over the template you want to retire and click "DELETE"

2.  You also mentioned that in the "new template" the dateline was not centered.  I popped into the latest mailing that you were working on and saw that the date-line was centered.  Perhaps this wasn't the template that you're looking at.  If not, let me know the name of the template and I'll take a look.

Yes, I double checked after your reply. It was fixed in one and I was able to re-create the other one and it is now fixed in that one as well. We truly appreciate all your help, and the swift way in which you provide it! THANKS!!
