Text color keeps changing if I delete and retype

I have a text box with a dark background, and the text is in white. For some reason, when I highlight and erase text, if I start retyping the text appears in black instead of white and I have to start over. What is going on?

Hey there -- The default text color for the template is probably black. When you erase all text from the block, you revert back to the default color. I'm happy to take a look at template if you can point me to the mailing you're working in!

Thanks.  It was the Staff Appreciation Video, but I was only erasing a few words at a time, not the entire text.  If there is a way to avoid this in the future, please let me know, since I planned to use this as a template.  Thanks!

Hey there -- I hopped into a copy of that mailing and did some quick testing. If I delete part of the text in a block or just a few words, the text color remains white as I add more text. If I highlight all text in the block and delete it, any new text I add is the default gray/black. If you run into this again and can grab a screenshot of how those edits look in the mailing, please share that here!
