I wasn't sure if email marketing was included in SEO or not. I didn't think so. So my question is, other than design, is there a reason why I should use text rather than images with text in my campaigns?

Also, I have noticed that when I do use images with text, the text isn't as clear as when I use the image caption option.

Hey, Brandi! One thing to remember is that not all email programs will display images by default. There are even some offices where images in emails are blocked entirely (I love a good animated GIF, so I'm glad I don't work in one of those offices...). Along those lines, you could also have recipients who have their email configured to display plaintext only.

So, from a delivery standpoint, it's always a good idea to be sure that your message is conveyed clearly in text even when you've got images that may say the same thing.
