Unordered list affects left margin of text block

Hello all,

Here's a formatting issue we are seeing.

Using an Unordered (Bullet) List in a text block is somehow adding additional left margin to the entire block. This puts the left margin of the block out of alignment with the other blocks in a single-column layout.

The alignment looks fine in the editor, but is off when viewing in Outlook and in the webview.

One of our subaccounts reported this, and I can reproduce this behavior. Here's the webview of an example: https://t.e2ma.net/webview/st9te/8df74d602fa7ee5dd8146e88d31b6086. Those two blocks have the same content, other than the removal of the list.

Hi there! Thanks for including that webview link. I can definitely see what you're talking about there with the left margin. I'd like to take a look at the actual mailing. Can I have the sub account and mailing name?

Thanks!

Hi Emily,

The Subaccount is CoOportunity Health. I've made a copy of the client campaign for you called "Mark Copy".

Thanks!

Hi! Thanks so much. I'm not seeing the same margin difference in that mailing. Here's what I see:

All three of those text blocks seem to have the same left margin. Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks!!

Thanks for taking a look.

The formatting looks ok for me in the editor, but the issue shows when I mail a test to myself.

It's visible in Outlook 2013, Web view, and the Exchange webmail client.

Alrighty -- I am definitely seeing the same things in my inbox! I'm not able to identify what's causing that through my initial troubleshooting steps but am definitely able to replicate it. I'm going to escalate this to have another team member take a look. I'll check back in here as soon as I know anything.

Thanks in advance for your patience!

Ok - it looks like we're dealing with a little bug here that comes into play specifically when using a bulleted list in a left combo block. Congratulations, you found the winning combination! :)

You may want to experiment with separating your text into multiple blocks, keeping the bulleted list in its own block. I hope this helps! I'm sorry we don't have a more concrete workaround here.

Hi Emily,

Thanks for looking into this. We'll use the workaround for now.

Will you post here when the bug is resolved?

Thank you.

Hey Everyone Great News! Our team was able to resolve the bug around anĀ an unordered (bulleted) list somehow adding additional left margin to the entire block - ruining the alignment. You should not have that experience moving forward!

Thank you for your patience as we worked to get that resolved!
