Using segments to extract automation data

Our end goal is to export lists of audience members who have met certain open or click criteria, across several automation workflows.

What I have found as the best way to do this so far, is to set up a segment that finds any audience member who has opened any instance of the last email in the automation.

Is it true that even if we are re-using the same campaign across several workflows, that it is counted as a separate mailing each time it sends once an audience member meets the send criteria and then has to be added to the segment? The example above has the campaign ROI Automation sent on 3 different dates. It would be ideal if we could just capture anyone who has opened the campaign that is titled 06-ROI - Automation, that was sent on any date.

Is there a way to find audience members that belong to a specific audience group who have opened all emails within a workflow, no matter when the campaign was sent, without having to add all the campaigns? We don't have a way to figure out which dated campaign was sent to which workflow.

I also wish there was a quick way to see, within an audience group, which audience members have opened which campaigns, without looking at individual audience member records.

Any advice on more efficient methods is appreciated. The automation is great, but if we can't easily extract out the response of specific audience members to then target in new ways, depending on their response, then the automation isn't quite as useful as it should be.

I'm moving this conversation to our Ideas section so other folks can chime in and add their thoughts (and better lets our developers know what features and improvements folks are looking for).

Our developers are in the process of improving our reporting capability (and group response data is something that is on their radar). Improving our segment builder is definitely something we're looking into too.
