I'd like to update the preferences of some of the people on our list that we know are season ticket holders. However, I can only recognize who is who by their names, and when I view my contacts they are sorted by email. Is there a way to view all my contacts by name?

Hello,

Phillip from Emma Support here! Regrettably, there is not a way to sort by contact field. For more information on this, check out this official reply from fellow supporter, Laura. If you have any additional questions, just let me know. - Cheers!

Ok then. Is there a way to assign all contacts to a certain field (i.e. interests: season tickets)? Or I have a list of season ticket holders that I would like to import to update their records so they can all be under "What kind of a ticket buyer are you: Season Ticket Holder." But when importing there does not seem to be a way to assign contacts to a certain category.

It sounds like what you are wanting to achieve can be done through an import. However, in order to successfully bring in new information, two things need to be true. First, the contact field must exist in Emma. Secondly, the import information must be mapped to the corresponding contact field. For more information, take a look at this article on contact fields from the Emma Resource Center and this one on importing contact info.

If this doesn't help address the issue, just let me know. I definitely want to help!
