Hey there! Even though this isn't common it definitely can occur. Basically when Emma made the attempt to deliver this message to the recipient mail server, it never got a message back from that mail server that the message had been received. Assuming the message had not been received (since they *should* send a response back), Emma marked down a soft bounce. Apparently, however, the message was actually received and delivered on the recipient end, which is how the member opened it. There isn't much we can do if the recipient mail server decides not to acknowledge receipt of a message, which explains why both a bounce and an open were marked.
