Would like to customize response that subscribers receive when they sign up for our emails on our website.

This is the current text:

"Thanks for joining the Jen Adrian email list!
To confirm your subscription, please click this link or paste
it into your browser: https://app.e2ma.net/app2/audience/opt_in/confirm/1768020/3479187028?v=a
To ensure proper delivery of our future emails, take a moment now and add our email address - emc@champlain.edu - to your address book, trusted sender list, or company white list.

If you do not wish to receive our emails, or this email has reached you in error, please click or copy and paste this link in your browser window to remove yourself from our list:

Thanks, and welcome!"

I can not find this text anywhere and would like to edit it to be more friendly.

How do I edit-and how to I apply it so that new subscribers receive my custom response versus this computer generated version?

Hey there!

You can customize this message on the signup form edit page by opening the signup form there under "Audience" and "Classic Forms" and going to the "Confirm It" tab:

OR, you can uncheck the box so that it does not send out the plaintext mailing and you can set up an Automated workflow that would allow you to send a full HTML mailing out when people sign up.

If you need help walking through creating an Automation workflow, check out these links:

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Hi there!

I, too, have the same standard sign-up confirmation text in the emails that get automatically sent when a new email gets pushed to a list.

I've gone to Audience > Classic Forms > Default Sign Up Form > Confirm It.

Even after the body message is edited there, the original text still goes out; not the newer, edited text.

It's a mystery as to where the standard confirmation email is hiding, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi there!  I popped over to WellRight.com to see if I could find the signup form you're using.  The form I found did not look to be an Emma form.

If you're using a form outside of Emma, there are some integrations that allow you to turn the form on or off, but most won't allow you to edit the confirmation outright.  If it's a custom form, you'll want to turn off the confirmation email and you can set up a confirmation email as an automated workflow.

If you have any more questions about this, let me know the integration you're using or if it's a custom form and we'll see what options are available.

Cheers!

Hi Grey,

The form I'm using is a Ninja form (it's on wellright.com/101challenges - I have the Emma plug-in to push the data into Emma).

Ninja is nicely pushing the contact information it captures into my three Audience lists I created.

Once that information arrives, the Emma confirmation email goes out, and that's the email I simply cannot edit. (Even if I uncheck "send confirmation," the email still goes out.)

Hope the Ninja tidbit helps us troubleshoot.

Thanks!

Thanks for passing that along!

Since that isn't an integration that we've built, I don't have any visibility into whether they're using the code necessary to suppress the confirmation email, and there wouldn't be a way for us to edit that confirmation.

What I'd suggest from here is for you to reach out to NinjaForms to see if they can add in the code to suppress the confirmation email, and then you can custom build an automated welcome email / confirmation email in Emma to trigger on signup.

I'm not sure if they have the ability to do that or not, but they would be the ones that could tell you either way.

Let me know how that goes and if you need any more information from us!
